DREW SMITH ELITE HITTING AND DEFENSE CAMP

Come join Elkhorn Legion Baseball Hall of Famer Drew Smith in his advanced hitting and defense camp. This camp is for competitive baseball players trying to take their skills to the next level. One day will focus on hitting and one day will focus on defense. Drew is currently a baseball private instructor in Phoenix Arizona.

Grades: 3rd - 12th (Fall 2025)
Sessions:
3rd - 5th Grade | 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
6th - 8th Grade | 10:45 AM - 1:15 PM
9th - 12th Grade | 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Cost: $80 per Daily Session

DREW SMITH

High School Career (Elkhorn High School – Elkhorn, Neb.):

  • Varsity Baseball Player all four years of high school.
  • 2016 Class B State Championship Team
  • Improved batting average every year, peaking at .479 as a senior in 2016.
  • Hit .455 over his final three high school seasons.
  • Accumulated 64 RBIs, 31 doubles, five triples, and nine home runs over 78 games in his last three seasons.
  • Also a successful pitcher, going 4-0 with a 1.35 ERA as a senior.
  • Currently holds records for Career Hits -163, Hits in a Season – 58 (2016) and Career Doubles – 38 (2013-2016)

College Career:

Creighton University – Omaha, Neb. (2017): Redshirted.

Northeast Community College – Norfolk, Neb. (2018-2019):

  • Named 2019 Spalding NJCAA DII Player of the Year.
  • Achieved a .427 batting average over two years.
  • Hit 29 home runs with only 26 strikeouts.
  • In only their second year of existence, led the baseball team to the NJCAA DII World Series in 2019.
  • Hit two home runs, one on which was a grand slam and set the record of 9 RBIs in a single inning of a single game at the 2019 NJCAA DII World Series.

Grand Canyon University (2020):

  • Ranked second on the team and fourth in the WAC in batting average.
  • Tied for team lead with 14 RBIs.
  • Notable performance against No. 16 Oklahoma State with seven hits and 11 RBIs.
  • Completed the season with seven multi-hit games.

Pro Career (Milwaukee Brewers):

  • Drew was signed as a free agent in 2020 by the Milwaukee Brewers
  • Played one minor league season for the Milwaukee Brewers
